Octopodidae

Octopodidae is the largest and most widely recognized family of octopuses, comprising benthic, soft-bodied cephalopods defined by eight flexible arms lined with sensitive suction cups. Found throughout global oceans—from shallow tide pools and tropical coral reefs to cool temperate coastal waters—these highly intelligent invertebrates are famous for their complex problem-solving skills, solitary hunting techniques, and rapid texture-shifting camouflage.
