Rhynchocinetidae
Rhynchocinetidae is a family of small marine crustaceans commonly known as hingebeak or dancing shrimps. They are easily recognized by their striking red-and-white patterned bodies and an unusual, upward-hinged rostrum (beak) that can move vertically. These reclusive creatures inhabit subtropical and tropical coral reefs, frequently executing characteristic tango-like dancing movements as they walk. Due to their vivid coloration and unique behavior, species like the camel shrimp are highly popular in the global saltwater aquarium trade.
