Crustacea
Crustaceans are a diverse group of mostly aquatic invertebrates that belong to the arthropod family. They are easily recognized by their hard external skeletons (exoskeletons) and jointed legs, which protect them from predators. This group includes well-known marine creatures like crabs, lobsters, shrimp, and barnacles. Most species live in the ocean, though some adapted to freshwater and land environments.
