Anomura
Anomura is an exceptionally diverse infraorder of decapod crustaceans that includes hermit crabs, porcelain crabs, and squat lobsters. While visually resembling true crabs and lobsters, these specialized benthic creatures are defined by their reduced fifth pair of walking legs and asymmetrical abdomens, often adapted for dwelling inside discarded gastropod shells or clinging to reef hosts.
