Terraquatic Tales

Nudibranchs

Nudibranchs are vibrant, soft-bodied marine mollusks known for their striking colors and intricate patterns. Often called sea slugs, these creatures shed their shells during their larval stage and live on the ocean floor worldwide. They use specialized, exposed gills on their backs to breathe and tentacles on their heads to navigate their surroundings. Many species protect themselves from predators by absorbing toxins from the food they eat.
