Sedentaria

Sedentaria is a major group of annelid marine worms characterized by their stationary, tube-dwelling, or burrowing lifestyles. These sessile invertebrates construct intricate parchment or calcareous tubes on reef substrates, extending elaborate, feathery crown structures into the water column to filter-feed on microscopic plankton and organic detritus.
