Charadriiformes

Charadriiformes is a large and diverse order of birds, commonly referred to as shorebirds or waders, that includes about 390 species worldwide such as gulls, auks, plovers, and sandpipers. Most members live near water and feed on small animals and invertebrates, though some are pelagic (seabirds), desert-dwelling, or found in dense forests.
